Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Welcome to the House blog. The aim of this blog is to give you access to non-vital information about the House and College. The girls get involved with so much at the College and I hope to use this forum as a way of keeping you informed of the activities they get involved in.

Please do join in and check it out whenever you can.

Best wishes,

Kate Newson

Franziska, our Flute Superstar

Franzi played in the Mid Sussex Competitive Music Festival on the Weekend and won.   This is such an amazing achievement - we are very lucky to have such a talent in the House and indeed in the School.  It attracks competitors from locals schools like Lancing, Hurstpierpoint College, Burgess Hill for Schools and many local Preps schools too.
She will play the Second Movement by Bach this Saturday at the Mid Sussex Festival Concert.
Well done, we are really proud of you.

Getting in the festive spirit with some Christmas baking at the weekend

Despite the dreary weather, the girls did manage to have some fun this weekend. As well as making mince pies and ginger bread cookies, many got involved in the Hilton-hosted, fantastically balmy and tropical-themed, if slightly unseasonal, pool party on Saturday evening.

Chill-out Friday

After prep the girls settled down to pop-corn and hot chocolate and a chick flick!

Bella holds Spanish lessons during prep

Star of the Week: Quiana and Ellie

These two deserve a medal - on the weekend they cleaned the kitchen from top to toe after the pizza and chocolate fountain party of their own volition.   (Ellie admitted that cleaning the chocolate fountain wasn't that hard!)  Thank you from the House.

Sunday night - X factor fever

Home made pizzas and chocolate fountain

This Saturday the girls in Aberdeen had a quiet night in making home made pizzas and indulging fruits covered in chocolate.

Their organisation and support was wonderful over the past few weeks to get the House ready for the House Music Competition.

Well done to Sammi and Josie who worked hard to organise and get the House ready for this competition.   I am very proud of what you have produced and you should be too.
