Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Welcome to the House blog. The aim of this blog is to give you access to non-vital information about the House and College. The girls get involved with so much at the College and I hope to use this forum as a way of keeping you informed of the activities they get involved in.

Please do join in and check it out whenever you can.

Best wishes,

Kate Newson

Santa comes to Aberdeen

The House say thank to the Staff

Star of the Term: Michaela

This is a very special prize, one that is voted for by the Whole House for someone they think deserves the title.   Michaela was that very person.   She has been a real 'Star' this term, playing hockey for the U16, having a lead role in  Cabaret and also supporting the girls in the House.   Well done Michaela and well deserved.

Franzi, Maren and Jess talk about Germany today

The girls wanted to give a different perspective on Germany today in contrast to 'Cabaret' last week.   The girls talked about the geography, the people and their feelings towards their Country.   The House were really interested and suggested a House trip at some point. When I get a copy of the notes I will posted them for everyone.

Happy Christmas from the Girls in Aberdeen, Ardingly College

Ellie sings a solo at the Carol Service

Well done Ellie.
It was lovely for Ellie that her sister had come down from Leeds to see her sing the first verse of 'O Little Town of Bethleham.'

Aberdeen win the Inter-House Hockey (at last!)

It was a bitterly cold day and the teams were very even.   Charlotte managed to break down the right and send a chip hit a goal which Alexa (-well done on your half colours!) just couldn't stop.   Well done to everyone for your support and singing.

Christmas fun

Sunday evening 40 of the girls squeezed into the Aberdeen Common Room to celebrate Christmas with a sit-down Chinese meal.  The food was lovely and the fun and games afterwards a giggle.
