Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Welcome to the House blog. The aim of this blog is to give you access to non-vital information about the House and College. The girls get involved with so much at the College and I hope to use this forum as a way of keeping you informed of the activities they get involved in.

Please do join in and check it out whenever you can.

Best wishes,

Kate Newson

Stars of the Week: Fran and Ellie

Not only have the Heads of music put on an amazing concert on Wednesday and helped the House produce a wonderful song for the inter-house singing competition, but they spent most of the evening cooking the whole House cakes for Valentines Day.  They are truly amazing.  Thank you girls.

This beats an apple (-but not good for the waistline)

Aberdeen 'back to the future' part two

The Aberdeen 'Back to the Future' concert part one

Aberdeen girls worked hard in the build up to the concert. The aim of the concert was to bring all who had been/are in Aberdeen together from the Shell to the Upper Sixth to celebrate their talents.  We videoed the performances and have put them on Youtube so that everyone can can sample the delights.

The girls are feeling a little tired so had a quiet night relaxing with a Chinese take away and watching the Pink Pantha.

Sunday trip to the Stoop

Some of the girls and boys were treated to a trip to see Harlequins play Wasps at the Stoop.  Not the most entertaining game; Harlequins sneaked a 11-10 victory with mins to go.
George and Will Newson met the 4th Official -my good friend Sean Davey and one of the camera men, Scott Nicholson, who I new from a previous school.   (May be a future job in presenting for BT)

Saturday Netball matches

The girls faced cold and rather wet conditions to play netball against St. George's.

Rehearsing is picking up the pace

The girls are working hard behind the scenes on the House song in preparation for the inter-house singing competition next week.  They are also working on their pieces for their own concert on Wednesday night.
The tutors were on hand to provide an audience and to help with the final touches.

Star of the Week: Ella O'Hare

Ella was nominated by Sister Peru in the Medical Centre for helping her with another student.   Ella's caring nature is to be commended.
