Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Welcome to the House blog. The aim of this blog is to give you access to non-vital information about the House and College. The girls get involved with so much at the College and I hope to use this forum as a way of keeping you informed of the activities they get involved in.

Please do join in and check it out whenever you can.

Best wishes,

Kate Newson

Star of the week: Ella

Ella has been wonderfully supportive to lots of girls in the house over the past few weeks. This goes to her as recognition of that. Well done.

U16's train prior to the National's next week and are joined by Alex Danson

Girls have been working hard for the past few days as they prepare for the National U16 Hockey finals at the Lea Valley, Olympic Park in Stratford next week.
This afternoon they were treated to the wisdom and skills of Alex Danson, Great Britain, Olympic and Common Wealth medalist.  She was inspirational.  Thanks Alex.

First warm up game for the U16's

The girls travelled to St. George's Weybridge this evening to play in a friendly warm up game in preparation for the National's.
The result 1-1, with an amazing goal scored by an aerial ball into the circle by Alex Malzer, picked up by Ciara who drew the keeper slipping the ball for Ellen Bailes to convert.
We need some more pitch time as we looked quite raw.
The girls sported their new bench coats to ward off the cold.

Star of the week: Miss Crowe

Miss Crowe has stepped in to help the a House with the House Song.  It is sounding good.

U15a Hockey squad through to County Final

The girls played Lancing at home in awful conditions- snow, hail and sleet.  They won 7-0, but it is fair to say this wasn't their best performance.

Power cut Thursday

Fun and games was had when the school list power on Thursday afternoon.  It became a good opportunity to work on the house song. The kitchen staff were amazing, using the BBQ outside to cook for the boarders. It turned into a very social occasion and the power returned in time for evening school.
