‘Unity
is diversity.’ That is what the country stands for; it is known for diversity
in religion, language and festival. India is a republic, which is for the
people buy the people and from the people.
India is known for its great cultural and traditional values. Some of the religious festivals celebrated by people around India are Diwali, the festival of lights. Which is celebrated in victory of good vs. evil.
Holi,
the festival of colour and love is celebrated in commemoration of the love
between goddess Radha and god Krishna.
Eid,
celebrated by Muslims around the country.
Some
of the 780 languages spoken in India include:
Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Marathi,
Bengali, Gujrati, English and many others. About 80 percent of Indians follow
Hinduism but India’s population also includes people following Islam,
Christianity, Jainism and Sikhism. India is known as the land of spirituality
and philosophy. It was the birthplace of various religions, which even exist in
the world today.
