Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Welcome to the House blog. The aim of this blog is to give you access to non-vital information about the House and College. The girls get involved with so much at the College and I hope to use this forum as a way of keeping you informed of the activities they get involved in.

Please do join in and check it out whenever you can.

Best wishes,

Kate Newson

Happy Birthday Kukka

What a busy Weekend

Saturday morning the girls could choose activities from photography to trampolining.   Followed by a hockey fixture for all ages with Eastbourne College.  Jess Van-D scored 3 goals for the U15A team and Mickie and Aubrie had really good games.  They won 6-1.  The U14's also did really well wining too, 4-0.   Saturday night was Mocktails and Music followed by pizza and film night.   Sunday morning started early with a house run, organised by the Fifth.   The Shell then had Water Sports on the reservoir followed by Hot Chocolate and muffins in the Neal common room.   There was the OA hockey and football matches to watch in the afternoon, along with swimming and the Sainsbury's run.   sunday evening was quiet with some catching an early night.   Take a look below:

Xbox Dancing Queen's

The Xbox is a real hit with the girls dancing the time away after evening school.
The piano has been an excellent addition to the house - Amanda entertained the house with her amazing singing while Harriet McGilary accompanied her on the piano.   Next challenge is to video and blog it.

Look closely and you will see the girls free styling on screen

Welcome to Aberdeen House

A warm welcome to Aberdeen House Blog at the start of the Michaelmas term.
The house is buzzing with energy and enthusiasm as the girls get their new timetables and prepare for the coming year.   They have enjoyed meeting up with old friends and having the chance to make new ones.
Some of the new girls have been a little homesick as they make the transition into boarding, but the old hands have been there to help with cuddles and sound advice.   We have had hot chocolate and marsh mallows before bedtime and the Fith Reps have been around to help at bedtime, which has worked wonders.   I am very proud of the caring nature that we have in the House and know that with time the new girls will feel very much a part of the Aberdeen and its ethos.

This weekend the girls have been busy with Hockey trials and the whole school 'Black and White' disco.
Here are just a few pictures to give you a feel of what a busy life they have at Ardingly College.

Poor Ellie - first injury of the year, but will be fine just bruising
