Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Dear Aberdeen Parents, girls and friends,

Welcome to the House blog. The aim of this blog is to give you access to non-vital information about the House and College. The girls get involved with so much at the College and I hope to use this forum as a way of keeping you informed of the activities they get involved in.

Please do join in and check it out whenever you can.

Best wishes,

Kate Newson

Silver and bronze Merit awards

It is totally no surprise that Aberdeen won the Academic Cup again for the third term in a row.  These girls have all been award their Silver and a few their Bronze Merit certificates this week.   We are going to work hard to win it again next term too.

Runners-up in the School Debating Competition

Ellie, Tasha and Anna put Crosse in their box, by beating them in a tuff debate to come Runners up.
Well done to our argumentative team.

Aberdeen win the House Netball

The girls did really well and all teams worked hard.  The A's and C's drew their matches.  The C's came back from 15-5, to draw 17-17, which is quite an impressive turn around.   The B's won their match quite convincingly and the A's drew too.  Well done all.

Inter-House Debating

On Monday (24th March) the Aberdeen Senior Debating team battled against Crosse. Winning this debate would mean they came 3rd in the overall Inter-House competition. After a close and well-thought through debate, with interesting points and robuttles from each side, it was wonderful to see the girls triumph, winning by a crucial 1 point! Well done to Tash, Ellie and Anna!

Aberdeen Dinner

This was a tremendous success.   Lots of laughter and some tears.  Even Father David was seen dancing the night away.   Tash made an emtional Head of House speech, supported by Charlotte.  Take a look at the pictures.

Busy Saturday followed by chillax time in House

It was open day at Ardingly and it was a really busy, but fun day.  Some of the girls toured future pupils and their parents, others play netball or were working in the Departments supporting staff.
This evening they cooked Fajita's in House, followed up by ice creams.  Some girls watched videos or played on the Wii.

Star of the Week: Tasha Walker

Tasha has been a wonderful support to lots of girls in the House this week.  As Head of House, she has advised and support the Remove and Shell.   Thanks Tash.
